FRESH BLUES MEETS HOT FUNKY!The blues moans Alex TNT wrenches out of his guitar, his terrific voice and the punchy groove of his powerful old school funky band will knock you down. Alex TNT www.alextnt.com , lead guitar and vocals, and his gang (Julian Vaughn on the drums, bassist Bikoko, guitarrist Albert Greenlight and Rick Perkins on the keys) put out a deliberately provocative show, if u can take it, come to get down and funky next Sunday @ the Jamboree! BB King, Albert King, Hendrix, Buddy Guy, SRV, Hendrix…they were all fighting in my veins and keeping me up all night when I was a kid. Every little thing I’ve learned from them used to explote in me everytime I played a gig, this is why they started calling me Alex TNT. I never entirely agree, cause my respect and love for true musicians almost reaches insanity and the name that people gave me meant more to them than it did to me. I do try to make my shows as explosive as I can, and with good musical taste, I leave my sweat and breath every time I do music, even if it’s for a small audience, they still payed their ticket and I always do my best for them to have fun! But now things have changed. Besides my blues influences, which are huge and keep me alife, music has showed me a brand new world of experiences, I’m hooked to Prince, Mark Knopfler, James Brown, Michael Jackson, Etta James, Johnny Guitar Watson, Al Green…thank God for good music! So, after many hours on the road, I’ve played in every little spot in Spain ans have also toured in Canada and the States, after having the pleasure of sharing stage and stories with great musicians, usually much older than me, I’ve comed to develope my own style. I know this sounds kind of empty, odd, undefined…but the thing is that I’ve gone through a hell of a process to write my upcoming CD named Psychophysiological. And after this, with my new work ready, dying to see the light, I felt I had to make an effort of honesty with myself and change my name. From now on I’m Alex Zayas, which is my mother’s last name, and which is really me, no more fancy invented names, just me, I hope you understand…I love you all, and I love most people who guided me to be who I’m today. Thank you Javier Mas, for your good advice and your musical lessons, thank you mum and dad, sisters and brother, and thank you G for all that you mean to me.
