About Akzron

Akzron (or Marcel Vitriant) is one of Rafe "RonZak" LaNore's monikers. Started in 2021, Akzron's music was a way for Rafe to delve into Breakcore, a genre he has interest in for a while. The lore of Akzron is that something happened in his past that forced him to flee his home dimension. Many of the songs are about his adventures through the inter-dimensional plane. There have been three Akzron albums released over the course of four years; "Against the World" in 2021, "Trapped in a Tumultuous World" in 2022, and "Tortured Traveler" in 2024. There have been references sprinkled in Akzron's music to The Caretaker, INXS, Taperecorder, King Gizzard, and most prominently, Radiohead (because when Rafe was working on the first album, he was really inspired by the Hail to the Thief-era artwork, so many of the song titles on that album were references to the HTLT songs and artwork.) The third Akzron album ("Tortured Traveler") was influenced by King Gizzard's albums, "Nonagon Infinity", "Made in Timeland" and "Laminated Denim" . Rafe tried to make an infinite loop album, but one where not only does the album loop, but the songs loop over themselves as well. Rafe has also gone on record saying that Tortured Traveler is actually his least favorite Akzron album. He doesn't hate it, but he does recount that it was a nightmare to make. The second album, "Trapped in a Tumultuous World" is Rafe's favorite Akzron album. The fourth Akzron album is said to be a fictional soundtrack inspired by the sounds of the Silent Hill soundtracks.
