About AirLands

AirLands is the first solo album by Brooklyn-based singer-songwriter Kevin Calaba. A Kickstarter-Funded collaboration alongside producers Tony Lash (The Dandy Warhols, Elliot Smith) and Aaron Nevezie (The Black Keys, The City and Horses), AirLands' sound ranges from the grandeur of British rock to the introspection of NW Indie, layering deep grooves under lush harmonies, and sparkling guitars set off by moody synth orchestration. The album is an 11 song, 45-minute journey with thematics of search and rescue, evolution of the soul, hope and not hope, and the bright, and mysterious concept of love, that is one part indie rock, and one part something else. Calaba's career highlights include seven years of touring nationally on a major label, fronting the band Stars of Track and Field which he co-founded, supporting The Smashing Pumpkins, The Twilight Singers, Blue October, Jeremy Enigk, Joe Arthur and many other major acts. Calaba’s music featured on ABC’s Grey's Anatomy, ABC’s Kyle XY, and several major motion pictures, including Death Sentence featuring Kevin Bacon. Calaba has appeared on Late Night with Conan O’Brien debuting the track Movies of Antarctica. His discography includes three other full length albums and two EPs. FACEBOOK SPOTIFY
