About Aghast!
AGHAST! were a UK based band from London. They were formed in 2006 at a drinkin competition at the Wacken Open Air Festival. They play extreme metal and are often wrongly billed as death metal or thrash when in fact they are closer to metalcore than either of these genres. Their name is spelt in capitals and with an exclamation mark. This came from a promoter in Leeds who initially booked them for one show, which became three nights, one after the other. By the end he billed them as "and AGHAST! again" and it stuck. The band disbanded in 2017.
