About Agency 17
The band Agency 17 was formed in Saint Petersburg, Russia in 2005 by two school friends, Jenni ''Antennka'' and Christian Ratts. Jenni and Christian met at high school in the fall of 2000. In the beginning it was just common interests like computers, computer games, various funny stuff and drinking alcohol that usually took place at the time when they were supposed to be attending studies. So, there were absolutely no plans or ideas to start making music at that moment, despite the fact that in the spring of 2001 Jenni graduated from music school with a red diploma. Actually he never showed much interest in writing music either at that time or when Agency 17 already existed. After graduating from high school Jenni, having a passion to railroad, began working a conductor on passenger cars. There is something romantic in trains, isn't there? Cities, towns and villages passing by. Rails, platforms, many different lovomotives. Sometimes Antennka used to work several runs in a row. This would be harder to do without the help of alcohol. And being in this condition: always tired, slightly drunk and on the move all the time, Antennka began writing verses. Not many people in Russia had PDAs at that time, so these verses were written with a ballpoint pen in a notebook.
