With the sole intention of expressing and expanding his ideas through music, the project was commenced by Soul Divos’ former member, Marco Fonktana in the year of 2004. The band’s first debut was titled “Soul Deluxe Vol. 1: La semilla,” which solely aims to expand the sound of modern hip hop by incorporating an instrumentation that one would normally see in live jazz and funk bands; this is what allowed the very full, versatile sound that this band has to offer to develop.
