About Addison Park

Talk about rising fast. Between winning MTVu’s music video on The Freshman with “Bay Area Blues,”-also being voted into the Top 25 college bands category and winning College 500’s episode 3 video challenge, both on MTVu-on Fox News Chicago, and featurings in magazines such as Alternative Press, Addison Park has built up quite a resume. These accomplishments indicate that Addison Park is the hottest campus band coming out of the Midwest. The band’s siren song is the single “Bay Area Blues”, their award-winning college hit. In it, AP’s live persona is personified by full-throated melodies, intricately-delivered guitar and piano lines, and pulverizing drums. On the band’s studio album, Seven, the standout track is definitely, “Apperception.” Powered by a synth riff that will have you humming for days later, this song is full of the sonic creativity and lyrical complexity of serious artists. Indeed, even though these boys are splitting residency between Chicago and Indiana University’s Bloomington, Indiana, Addison Park is the real deal.
