Abigail Blythe
About Abigail Blythe
Ballads to be enjoyed over a popsicle or five. Abigail Blythe began writing music less than two years ago upon discovering that the ukulele accommodated those with rather small hands. Growing up, Abigail would dabble on the piano and write impromptu songs about forts, animals, and adventuring. The child of ex-opera singers, Abigail's love of classical vocal technique has riddled her music with multiple harmonies and obscure chords she doesn't know the names of. Abigail is accompanied by fellow vocalist and songwriter, Emily McGinty. David Armstrong, frontman in The Constables and lead guitarist in The Joy of Painting, brings the sweet jams on the bass guitar. Christopher Malcolm Hauser thunders on the drums, as he generally tends to do in his other Nashville projects, One Big Owl and Joy of Painting. Jordan Fenton, Nashville songwriter and producer, contributes acoustic and electric guitar. Phillip Wennerstrom plays everything, ever. But mostly banjo and saxophone. Abigail released her first EP, entitled "Hungry Heart" in March of 2012 and is in the process of finishing up her latest EP, "Tender Vignettes", set to be released on September 20, 2012.
