About Abercion
Abercion are a 5 piece hardcore outfit from Birmingham, UK. Starting out originally as a metal band with debut release 'Rise', Abercion have since adapted a more mature hardcore sound, playing shows up and down the country with the likes of Heights, Feed The Rhino, Demoraliser, Odessa, Silent Screams, I Defy, Desolated, Dead Harts, and many more. Abercion take influence from a variety of artists such as Madball, Bactrack, Deez Nuts, Brutality Will Prevail, Letlive, Heights and Deftones. Bringing a chaotic live show, they are definitely a band that need to be seen at a live show for the full experience. After releasing a cover of Wiz Khalifa's 'On My Level, featuring Odessa's Richard Lardner late 2011, which was featured at Uprawr's New Years Eve club night, Birmingham's biggest alternative club to date, Abercion have hit the ground running in 2012, following 'On My Level' with the recent single 'Hopeless', the first single off their next EP, due to be recorded around Easter 2013, which recieved 200 downloads in the first 3 days of release, and playing shows with bigger names and to bigger crowds in the near future.
