About AUSTIN LEEDS ft JEREMY CARR
In The Air is a collaboration between producer Austin Leeds and singer/songwriter Jeremy Carr. Austin first rose to prominence with a string of hits on John Digweed’s Bedrock label in 2000, and quickly started seeing his music everywhere. It wasn’t long before Leeds' music had found a honored spot in the record bags of all the DJ heavyweights like Sasha, Victor Calderone , Danny Tenaglia, Erick Morillo, Tiesto, Deep Dish, John Digweed, Sander Kleinenberg, Paul Van Dyk, and Armin Van Burren just to name a few. In one year alone, Austin had numerous tracks played on Pete Tong’s BBC Radio 1 Essential Mix by the likes of Deep Dish, Murk, Sharam, Armin Van Burren, and Seb Fontaine. Austin's travels have brought him around the globe and back again, performing in the biggest and best clubs all over the world. In 2008, Austin saw his first mix compilation release on Made Recordings entitled Dirty Sound Volume 2 - Love Machine, which included nearly all of his own original productions, as well as a second compilation entitled “Nervous Nitelife – Las Vegas” released on the seminal NYC dance imprint Nervous Records. Push the envelope and break barriers is his studio ethos, and this uncompromising outlook has driven him to produce hits like "Shake Me”, “Rock Me," "For the Pills," Acid Disco" and "Only You," as well remixes of Starkillers “Scream” & “Discoteka” which climbed to the #1 spot on Beatport’s coveted top 100. Labels like Stereo Productions, Nervous Records, Star 69 and Toolroom have all taped in wanting Austin to lend his signature sound on remixes while 2009 ushered in the release of his first artist album on Ultra Records titled "Sound System". His prowess in the studio has not only resonated with fans and some of the best labels in the land, but also caught the attention of some of the biggest artists in electronic music. The list of collaborations reads like a who’s who in the dance music scene and credits him working alongside such artists as Paul Van Dyk, Avicii, DJ Chus, Ivan Gough (TV Rock), Rene Amesz, Starkillers, Matthew Dekay, Mac Zimms, and Markus Schulz. International recording artist Jeremy Carr has been singing his entire life. Born and raised in New York, Jeremy has always been close to the music with his mother being a full-time music teacher. It was in early 2008 when Jeremy found out that his song, “Turn The Lights Off” had become a European Pop Hit followed by “Physical Attraction”, “Sexy Girl” and “Deep At Night” – all becoming hits. Bringing “Deep At Night” home to The United States as a Billboard Top-10 Hit was the icing on the cake along with it becoming a Billboard Global Dance Tracks Top-40 Hit. Jeremy’s soulful voice would reach an ever-growing audience around the world. In 2009, “Deep At Night” was nominated “Best Progressive House/Trance Track" at the DMAs and featured on Germany’s Next Top Model bringing him closer to European fans. Jeremy would tour the next two years, performing live for tens of thousands of fans in The USA, Canada, Europe & Africa. “I love to work with creative talent, there are so many amazing producers out there”, Jeremy says. “Working with producers Adam K & Soha, DJ Antoine, Avicii, Belletrax, The Disco Fries, KATO, Mysto & Pizzi, Sunfreakz and Wendel Kos has been an inspiration for me. Support from fans, radio and the record labels has been an incredible source of power for me.”
