About ATZBR
ATZBR (or Atzabará) emerged in Montevideo, Uruguay, in 2022 with the aim of creating powerful songs that serve as the perfect vehicle for conveying the messages and reflections expressed in their lyrics. Formed by Luis Goggia on vocals and guitar, Facundo Grunullú on bass and backing vocals, and Diego Echain on drums, the band places strong emphasis on its songwriting and production process. Every note and every word is carefully chosen, always striving for a modern, high-fidelity sound. Throughout 2024 and 2025, the band focused on presenting their debut album Transmutar, released on June 14, 2024, and produced by Bruno Liguori, who had previously worked on the EPs Fosforitos and Monstruos y Fantasmas del Uruguay. With this album, the band once again reaffirms its ability to deliver incisive and emotional lyrics while staying true to its distinctive lyrical style. Transmutar not only marks a major milestone in ATZBR’s career, but also consolidates their powerful and committed sound, making it clear that their musical evolution continues to rise. Currently, the band is immersed in recording new studio material and presenting their new EP titled Vade Retro Satana, which consists of four previously unreleased tracks in which the group explores new sonic nuances without leaving behind the identity that defines them.
