Abdul Ibrahim West, better known by his stage name AR-Ab (also referred to as King AB), is an American rapper from Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. He is widely recognized as the co-founder of the rap collective and record label OBH (Original Block Hustlaz). His music career was heavily defined by his gritty battle rap style and his public involvement in high-profile hip-hop disputes, notably the Drake and Meek Mill feud. AR-Ab initially gained traction in the underground hip-hop circuit through his affiliation with fellow Philadelphia rapper Cassidy and the Larsiny Family group. He later built a massive independent following through raw street mixtapes and viral rap battles. AR-Ab's rap career came to a halt due to major federal legal troubles, In 2018, federal authorities arrested AR-Ab and several members of his OBH imprint. In April 2021, U.S. District Judge Michael M. Baylson sentenced AR-Ab to 45 years in federal prison. His co-founder and close collaborator, Dark Lo, was also later sentenced to federal prison for attempting to witness-tamper during the investigation, though he was released from custody in mid-2025.
