About A.W. Tozer
1897-1963 Born Aiden Wilson Tozer on April 21, 1897 in Pennsylvania. Tozer began preaching in 1919 as pastor of a West Virginia church. He continued his preaching ministry for 44 years until his death in 1963, at which time he was pastoring in Toronto, Canada. The majority of his life, however, was spent in Chicago leading a Christian and Missionary Alliance church. He has written, "If there's anything necessary to your eternal happiness but God, you're not the kind of Christian that you ought to be. For only God is the true rest." A.W. Tozer was an incredible man of God with a passion for pursuing Christ and making Him known. His best known books, veritable Christian classics, are "Pursuit of God" and "Knowledge of the Holy".
