About A.M. Breakups

A.M. Breakups (born Gordon Ox April 20, 1979 in Centralia, PA) is an underground hip-hop producer, polaroid artist, and occasional MC. His earliest work, 2001's "Coal Mind," featured jerky rhythms, 60s garage rock samples, and plenty of acid-washed 70s instrumental bits that would become his trademark. By 2005, Breakups had moved to NY, self-releasing "Riding Between Cars With Noise," a full-length effort that began attracting new faces, including emcee Eleven. Together they released an EP as 11 A.M. and toured in 2007. 2009 saw the release of "Cant Resurrection," a bold step forward sonically for Breakups, which featured a range of emcees including Billy Woods, V8, and Model Citizen in addition to Eleven.
