About A Luna Red

A LUNA RED hailed from Vancouver, BC and wield a shimmering, icy form of electropunk inspired by SKINNY PUPPY, BIG BLACK, COIL, and THE VSS. Formed in 1999 by Jack Duckworth and Erica Neumann, the band then expanded including members William Winslow-Hansen, Graham Jackson, Sean Ebare, and Larissa Loyva as different points in the band's timeline. The band soon earned a reputation as an explosive live act whose convincing rhythms and electronic dance-panic mayhem keeps 'the kids' perspiring, and coming back for more. They released two albums: "The Death Birds" (2000) and "SLMZK!" (2002) as well a 12" split with GHOST ORCHIDS and the 7" single "ELCTRK!" (2003) on Gold Standard Laboratories (www.goldstandardlabs.com). Sadly, the band broke up in 2003. Members now play in Savage Furs, Soft Riot, A Spectre Is Haunting Europe, All The Days and Kellarissa. www.myspace.com/primes
