About 35 Seconds
35 Seconds are a Birmingham based band who seem to have been on the verge of something great for a number of years. The band formed around 1997 and have self released a number of their own EP's and played many gigs over the years to support them. Their sound initially was very indie, jangle pop inspired but over subsequent years have developed a tight, complex and unique style of music which came to fruition in latter material like 'Walk The Plank' and 'Youth club'. The band recently recorded a batch of newer songs which show another shift in their sound, opting for a grinding funk inspired rock sound which could be described somewhere between Mew and Aphex Twin. A recent gig in Birmingham was described as a triumph by UK webzine The Plastic Ashtray who said, "In 2007 the band have never sounded so good" and described their sound as "Darker, sexier, dancier".
