About MIRAGE
MIRAGE was formed by KISAKI. MIRAGE was active for only 3 years, but had many releases, concerts and fans. The band formed in 1997 with the members TOMO (vocals, ex-Misty, Sense of Shape), RUI (guitar, ex-Lucifer, roadie for Tinker Bell), YAYOI (guitar, ex-De≠prive, Sense of Shape), KISAKI (bass, ex-La:Sadie's, Stella Maria) and HIRO (drums, L~CYFER), who later changed his name to AYAME. For unknown reasons, TOMO left the band in mid-1998 and was replaced by AKIRA (ex-L~CYFER). After his arrival, the visual and sound of MIRAGE became darker and heavier. Their first CD with AKIRA was the mini-album Risk en Eve released on December 23. In 1999, things were going well with this new lineup. They held many tours and released the maxi-single "…Air" as well as the PV VHS "DEATH AND REBIRTH" in September. Around this time, however, rumors of a MIRAGE breakup began to circulate. The band confirmed these rumors and held their last tour during the winter and officially broke up in January 2000. MIRAGE said goodbye to the fans with a box set titled "to ESCAPE" which included a VHS and a CD. In 2018, MIRAGE revived for a performance at the Matina 20th anniversary event, featuring AKIRA on vocals, YAYOI on guitar, and KISAKI on bass. In 2022, guitarist SHUN (覇叉羅, JILS) and drummer YOMI (【zɔ́ːdi̽æ̀k】) joined the band, and MIRAGE resumed activities for one year to celebrate their 25th anniversary.
