About 高村亜留

Takamura Aru (高村亜留) was a Japanese former singer. She was born into the famous Takamura family of artists. Although she attended Joshibi High School of Art and Design, she began seeking a career in entertainment instead as a teenager, but was constantly rejected due to her deep, contralto voice. She finally made her debut in 1985 as a solo singer, but retired the following year. She passed away on August 14, 2014 from cervical cancer.
