They are part of the menhera kei, shironuri kei, and Showa kayou kei subgenres. They have used the name 性傷年倶楽部鐘ト銃声 (Seishounen Club - Kane to juusei) first on October 28th 2025. In 2026 they started using 性傷年倶楽部 (Seishounen Club) only. The three singles which were released on February 14th 2025 were released under this name too. 性傷年 (the way they write it) sounds like 青少年 (youth) but it's actually 性 (sei; sex, sexual nature, gender) and 傷 (shou; injury, wound). 2019–2020: Formation and debut The group formed late in 2019, initially performing under provisional names before settling on 鐘ト銃声 (often styled in English as Kaneto Juusei). They made their official debut activity and released venue-limited material around October 2020 as they began playing shows and selling early CDs. The band has been active on independent circuits since its start. 2021–2023: Building an audience Through 2021–2023 the band steadily expanded its presence on the visual kei scene with regular live shows, limited releases and new songs introduced on tour. Press and scene sites noted their aesthetic focus — whiteface/stylised makeup, school-uniform influenced costumes and a dark theatrical image — and highlighted aggressive, melody-driven songs paired with provocative lyrical themes. Fan playlists and streaming uploads circulated the band’s early catalogue during this period. 2024–Present: Larger shows and continued releases By 2024 Kaneto Juusei had reached larger venues and higher-profile festival billing within the V-kei community. Their 4th anniversary shows and spring tour drew attention in scene coverage, with reviewers underlining the band’s tight live performance and growing production values. The band continues to release singles and mini-releases and remains active on the independent live circuit into 2025. On October 28th, bassist URU and drummer Eishin left the band. On October 29th, Drummer 雪兎 (Yukito), bassist 霧葉 (Kiriha) and guitarist 棘 (Toge) joined the band officially. Musical style and influences: Kaneto Juusei work within the visual kei tradition: dramatic stage presentation, stylised makeup and costumes, and a blend of dark thematic content with melodic rock structures.
