Hanafugetsu (華風月) - which translates as Flower-Wind-Moon - is a three piece Japanese acoustic folk band consisting of Ikiburo Seishi (いぶくろ聖志) on the 13 and 25 string Koto, Kaminaga Daisuke (神永大輔) on Shakuhachi, and Suzahana Yuko (鈴華ゆう子) on vocals and piano. The three members each represent an element of the band's name: Suzahana = flower, Kaminaga = wind, Ikiburo = moon. The band was formed in 2012 and was active until 2017 releasing 4 studio albums during that period. In 2013, the 3 members of Hanafugetsu formed the nucleus for the eight-piece Wagakki Band in 2013 until its hiatus which was announced in January 2024.
