Akimoto Sayaka (秋元才加), nickname "Sayaka" (さやか), born July 26, 1988 in Chiba Prefecture, Japan is a Japanese idol singer, model, and actress, as well as a former member of idol group AKB48. She was also a member of the AKB48 sub-unit DiVA, who disbanded in 2014. Born to a Japanese father and a Filipina mother, Akimoto made her debut with AKB48 in 2005, and has since gone on to participate in two sub-units as well as acted in films, dramas, and musicals. She is one of the most well-known members among the public as she was a regular on the popular noon TV show "Waratte Iitomo", and appears in many variety shows. She graduated from AKB48 on August 22, 2013 at AKB48's Tokyo Dome Concert, with her last stage performance on August 28.
