Atsushi Shindo is a former BEMANI artist, having sung and arranged most of the POWERFOLK series of songs for pop'n music from 1999 through 2003, with nearly all being represented by the game's character Ash. That same year, he got exposed by a fansite for plagiarizing lyrics on several ocassions, and his contract with KONAMI had officially expired around the same time. Afterwards, he released his BA-ZOO-KA album in 2006, and has released various digital albums and singles since 2015.
