About 弄简
弄简 (Nong Jian) is the pen name used by the twin sisters 弄仔 (Nong Zai) and 简仔 (Jian Zai). They are best known to have co-written the BL (Boys' Love) novel "垂涎" (2023), translated as "Covet" or "Desire," which was adapted into the Chinese drama "垂涎" (ABO Desire) (2025). They are also lyrists, co-writing the lyrics for the songs "陌路莫回," "盛世无争," "惶惶不得," "两世洞天," and "一世长歌," which were released for their novel "陌路莫回 盛世无争 (大结局)." They are also co-lyricists for the song "驯服爱欲" (Master of Desire), the theme song for the Chinese drama "垂涎" (ABO Desire). The sisters were born on July 12th and started their career at the age of 14 as co-writers of Chinese webnovels under the pen name 弄简 (Nong Jian). They started by publishing BL (Boys' Love) novels on the website "鲜网" (Xianwang). They double-majored in business and law in university. From March 2011 to August 2015, the sisters published a series of Chinese historical romance novels through "长江文艺出版社" (Yangtze River Literature and Art Publishing House), which includes the novels: "陌路莫回 倾尽天下," "陌路莫回盛世无争," and "陌路莫回 盛世无争 (大结局)." On February 5th, 2020, the sisters began serializing the suspense novel "暗渡" through the website "晋江文学城" (Jinjiang Literature). On February 7th, 2020, they began serializing the novel "盛世宫禁 (番外集)" through the same website. On March 24, 2023, the sisters began serializing the novel "垂涎" (Covet/Desire) through "晋江文学城" (Jinjiang Literature). On July 1st, 2023, they began serializing the novel "顽疾" (Tenacious Illness). On March 18th, 2023, the sisters announced that they were going to adapt their novel "垂涎" (Covet/Desire) into a Chinese drama, and on December 28th, 2024, filming officially began. The series of the same Chinese name "垂涎" (ABO Desire) was co-directed and co-written by the sisters, and filming wrapped up in February 2025. "垂涎" (ABO Desire) premiered on July 12th, 2025.
