Yoshiaki Ohuchi (March 14, 1960 - May 22, 2015) was a Japanese musician and producer. Biography Yoshiaki Ohuchi (大内 義昭) was born in Yahata City-Fukuoka Prefecture (now Yahatahigashi Ward, Kitakyushu City), Graduated from Kitakyushu Municipal Hikino Junior High School and Yahata University High School (now Kyushu International University High School). Ohuchi began his full-fledged musical career in the 1980s. In addition to singing himself, he also wrote songs for many musicians. He became a member of the band DU-PLEX and released songs such as "サイキック・マジック (Psychic Magic)" (a cover of G.I.オレンジ). He made his debut at the 45th NHK Kouhaku Uta Gassen in 1994, singing "愛が生まれた日 (The Day Love Was Born)" as a duet with actress Miwako Fujitani. He then returned to his hometown and lived in Kokura. While continuing his activities in his hometown, he opened the Kyushu Artist Academy to train young artists. He wrote the school song for Kitakyushu Municipal Ayamegaoka Elementary School, which opened in 1996, and for Kyushu International University Junior High School, which opened in 2000 and is an affiliate of his alma mater, Kyushu International University High School. He strengthened his relationship with the local NHK Kitakyushu Broadcasting Station, and appeared on the station's programs as a regular for two years, as well as writing theme songs for various programs. After being diagnosed with esophageal cancer in 2014, he continued his musical activities while undergoing treatment, but in early May 2015, his health rapidly deteriorated. He died on the 22nd at the hospital in Yahatahigashi Ward, Kitakyushu City, where he had been hospitalised. He was 55 years old. The Memorial service was attended by about 200 people, including Kitahashi Kenji and his fans. After his death, in January 2016, his personal office was renamed "Ohuchi Yoshiaki Music Associates Inc." and continues to manage the remaining artists. He's well-known for his contribution to the "City Hunter" soundtrack.
