"ラフ×ラフ(Rough x Laugh)" is a Japanese eight-member female idol group. The group is produced by Nobuyuki Sakuma, a famous Variety-show Producer of Japan's TV Tokyo. After the TV program “青春高校3年C組(Seishun High School, 3rd Grade C)” which Yasushi Akimoto (the General Producer of the Biggest Japanese Idol AKB48 Groups) and Nobuyuki Sakuma produced, ended, five of the program's idol members, including Arisa Saito and Meina Hibino, asked Sakuma for support, and an audition was held to launch a new idol group. The group was formed with 9 members who passed the auditions for the “Sakuma P Idol Produce Project” held from August to September 2022. The group name was announced on December 8. The origin of the name “Rough x Lough” is meaning of "rough & wild laughter". The members are 齋藤有紗(Arisa Saito, Leader of this group, Former Seishun High School 3-C),日比野芽奈(Meina Hibino,also former Seishun High School 3-C),吉村萌南(Monami Yoshimura),高梨結(Yui Takanashi),佐々木楓菜(Funa Sasaki),永松波留(Haru Nagamastu),夏目涼風(Ryouka Natsume),藤崎未来(Miku Fujisaki), and 林未梨(Miri Hayashi). The group is currently composed of 8 members after one member, Miri Hayashi, left the group on February 29, 2024. The group's office, ALWAYS, INC., is headed by the former director of NGT48, and the group's manager is also a former member of NGT48.
