ハッチ (hucci) was a visual kei band from Tokyo, Japan that formed in 2003/08 and disbanded in 2009/08/21. Members: ** Vocals: 吟 (Gin; ハッチ → theMouse) ** Guitar: チョンボ斉藤 (Chonbo Saitou; ハッチ → CALL ME CALL ME → unknown) ** Bass: キンヂ (Kinji; ハッチ → unknown) ** Drums: pinky (ハッチ → ニンジャマンジャパン、PLUNKLOCK → ゴーストレイン (GHOSTRAIN) →retired/car mechanic) History: hucci was formed in August 2003. Emerging during the early 2000s visual kei scene, the band developed a style that blended emotional rock melodies with colorful pop-influenced aesthetics. One of the group’s earliest known activities was the release SNACK・VENTE REINE on September 4, 2003. In July 2004, hucci performed at Motoyawata Route Fourteen and released the single Doro no Fune/Haikei. The band continued building its catalog over the following years with releases such as 8 CENTI no Koigokoro in 2005, Hoshizora STRIP, West・Galaxy・Dance, and HOSHI NI UTAEBA in 2006. Their energetic and youthful sound became a defining feature of their activities during this period. In 2007, HUCCI released GBYE and later PANDORA BOX, continuing an active live and recording schedule. The following year saw a rapid succession of releases including Junjou。, HYSTERIC MEDIA ZONE 8, Miseinen, Parade, and JUDGMENT#004. Through these works, the band maintained a steady presence within the independent visual kei circuit. hucci released COLLAGE in June 2009, followed shortly afterward by Metro. On August 21, 2009, the band officially disbanded. Following their breakup, hucci was featured in Cure Vol.74 later that year, reflecting the group’s lasting recognition within the visual kei scene. They were part of the Misshitsu kei subgenre.
