About ゆだち
ゆだち (Yudachi) formed at 明治学院大学 (Meiji Gakuin University) under the Contemporary Music Society (現代音楽研究会; Gendai Ongaku Kenkyuukai, abbreviated as 現音, Genon) sometime around 2010. They can be seen on the two 2013 compilations (Spring and Autumn, both available from the Genon Bandcamp) released by the Genon and were a fixture in the Society, performing every year at the 白金祭 (Hakkinsai; Platinum Festival), Meiji Gakuin University's school festival. ゆだち were parallel with its guitarist Ogura's solo ambient/drone project, Sunday's Echo. After undergoing multiple changes in lineup, they have stabilized as a five-piece band near the end of October 2013 and are mainly active in venues around the metropolitan area. ゆだち have described themselves as a mellowcore, folk, dream pop, and shoegaze band. Their sound takes inspiration from new wave, slowcore, emo, post-rock, and shoegaze. Also, some of their songs seem to take inspiration from the works of poet and writer Michael Ende. Their first release was at the end of September 2013. It was a self-produced four-track EP, ゆれても、のこらない (Yuretemo, Nokoranai). In November 2015, ゆだち unveiled their first full album, 夜の舟は白く折りたたまれて (Yoru no Fune wa Shiroku Oritatamarete). Current lineup: Keyboard, lead vocals - Chisaki Kawaguchi, née Kakegawa (川口千咲季 / 掛川) Vocals, guitar, composition, and lyrics - Keisuke Mishima (三嶋佳祐) Guitar - Yuta Ogura (小倉佑太), Sunday's Echo Drums - Junko Nakata (中田順子) Bassist - Kouki Higuchi (樋口浩気), member of sans visage, peelingwards, and 年貢 (nengu).
