Эра Льда (Era L'da, meaning "Era of Ice") is a dark ambient / dungeon synth project from Krasnodar, Russian Federation, started in July 2001 by Bayan Yaromir. The first demo album, "Всепоглощающее время", was released in August 2001, it contains two cover songs, "Det som engang var" originally by Burzum, and "Morthond" originally by Summoning. The second demo, "Сварожья ночь", was released in August 2002. In August 2003 a new demo was published, "Смерть на чужбине", still close to the dark ambient style but with symphonic black metal influences. In April 2006, while working on a new album, Bayan Yaromir realized that the style has changed a lot and did not fit into the framework of the previous format, so he decided to create a new project, called Чертог Волка, in the style of Slavonic pagan metal.
