About Стефче Стојковски
Стефче Стојковски (Stefche Stojkovski, b. 1972) was born in Skopje, Macedonia. He plays and teaches almost every Мacedonian traditional wind instrument, including kaval, supelka, dvojnik, gajda, duduk, and zurla, as well as the most popular traditional stringed instrument, the tambura, and the traditional percussion instruments, the tarabuka and tapan. He also teaches oro - traditional Balkan dance - and singing. His father and grandfather were both traditional musicians, and he started his musical eduation with them. The last of his teachers was Pece Atanasovski, after whose retirement Stojkovski replaced as a full time member of the Macedonian national radio and television network’s ensemble. In 1997 he was awarded the title of Independent Folk Artist-Musician and Music Instructor.
