The history of the group was begun since Sashko (Chipset) in to 15-years-old age began to be interested in a hip-hop culture and music. That’s why there were participating in the groups of «DOGAZF» and «Restless rest» («Неспокійному спокої»). Later the group disintegrated and after all formed in the present kind. The group’s native town Smila is known by two establishments: factory «Orizon» and «Cherkasy Regional Funny House» (CRFH). So the first group’s name was «The City» («Місто»), a number «44» was added later, in fact a number 44 is an address of Funny House (CRFH). As the group’s members says: «Our town is a town vice versa, where a lot of people used to live in unnormal conditions». The songs of «The City 44» («МіСТо 44») are more than just the text and the music, it’s a singing of them souls and hearts. Usually every group has songs which impressed listeners and songs which didn’t «surprised», but « The City 44» («МіСТо 44») is an exception. Due to the guys energy their songs causes sufficiently bright emotions and senses. Also this group became the winners of festival «Premiere of the rhythm». They are co-operate with such underground groups as «Selfdefence» («Самозахист»), «K9», «Alf & Delta» («Альф & Дельта»), «Patrol of Words» («Патруль Слів»), « PsyhiCreez » etc.
