Austral - - is a pop rock band from Rio De Janeiro Brazil formed in 2002who's name comes from the fact that they're from the southern hemisphere. They claim as influences international greats such as Bon Jovi, U2, and Lenny Kravitz, and great Brazilian rockers such as Barão Vermelho and Os Paralamas do Sucesso. The band has a sound all it’s own, and came about through a union of friends looking to have fun and make lots of noise. Some years later they matured as a band, looking toward rock and roll and pop for their essence.
