There are at least two acts with this name. &friends is an Afro‑house collective led by American producer Sean Thomas, bringing together four rising Nigerian vocalists. Formed after Thomas’ return to music in 2020, the project blends African rhythms with global electronic production, driven by a mission of collaboration, cultural exchange, and empowerment. After discovering vocalist Oluwadamvic (Dammy) and later Phina Asa, Thomas began shaping &friends into a cross‑continental creative family. The group has since expanded to include Nigerian rappers El Jay and Dotun, with Zimbabwean Afro‑house figure Nitefreak as a key collaborator. Their breakout track “Gbagbe E” (2022) marked the start of a rapid ascent. Now based in Dubai, &friends has debuted powerful live shows featuring all four singers, merging electronic performance with traditional instrumentation.
