About Lona

Athens, GA's Lona is the brainchild of Bright Eyes drummer Clay Leverett (Drip, Now It's Overhead, Lures, The Chasers). The band shifts from rock and roll to honky-tonk at the drop of a hat. Lona's lineup reads like an Athens all-star band featuring members of Drip, Hayride, Japancakes, Star Room Boys and Tony Tidwell & The Scalded Dogs. Their debut release was the Noontime Sleeper CD EP released on Ghostmeat in 2000. Songs from that release were included with new material for the band's first full-length release To The Nth. It was released on the band's own High Temple Records in 2001 and was shortly out-of-print. In 2008, Ghostmeat released To The Nth (Reissue + 2) which includes two bonus tracks not available on the original album.
