About Adrian Tăbăcaru
Adrian is a well appreciated drummer, musician, composer and multimedia artist based in Bucharest Romania. Born in Bucharest, Romania, Adrian began drum lessons at the age of three inspired by his father’s passion for music. At the age of six, Adrian starts performing on stage at festivals across the country with his father’s band. In 1987 he attended “Dinu Lipatti” music school where he takes piano lessons and later percussion instruments. Six years later, he founded TAINE band with Andy Ionescu on guitar and vocalist. In 1999 he graduated high school and was accepted at the National Music University of Bucharest at the percussion class where he was fascinated by marimbaphone and vibraphone. During this period, Adrian continues to perform as a drummer, percussionist in orchestras and also as a soloist having a wide range of musical activities. After the graduation of the Music University, Adrian receives advanced knowledge in interactive music composition and performing arts receiving a master’s degree for his professional practices. In 2014 he founded the Electro/World/Jazz band SOUPTRIP with Tom Brandus, Adrian Buciu, Mandela Gajol, Vlaicu Golcea, Raluca Statulat and Luiza Zan. His musical inspiration comes from Classical music, Jazz Fusion, Electronic music and Progressive Rock. Today, Adrian is a well appreciated artists worldwide, as a drummer, musician, composer and multimedia artist, having a wide range of activities from music composition, video production, corporate events production and multimedia art installations.
