About rubber spanner

Rubber Spanner is the electro alias of London based producer and electronic music artist Chris Deligiannis (born in Athens, 1976). In his early 20s he will drop business school to study sound engineering, before moving to London where he studies Audio Production and starts experimenting with various electronic music styles. A chance meeting with Luke Slater in the summer of 2008 will lead to joining Planetary Assault Systems and be part of the live sets of “Temporary Suspension” at MELT, I Love Techno, Berghain, Fabric, Nitsa etc. In breaks from touring he will produce remixes for Autokratz, Circlesquare, Dan Le Sac, Empire State Human, The Dallas Guild and others. 2010 will find Rubber Spanner in the studio finalizing his debut album “Reinvent”, with vocal contributions from Ruth Rosenfeld, Toby Knowles (Left with pictures) and Sofie H. Rumours have it that the album will contain an electro cover of The Magnetic Fields’ “I thought you were my boyfriend” from their 2004 album “i”. “Reinvent” is due to be released in spring/summer 2010. The studio being his natural environment, Rubber Spanner has quite a bit more in store for 2010, including a release by his new band, Sweet Dots.
