Pensive Lane is an alternative-rock-band from Klosterneuburg, Austria. More Information: www.pensivelane.com Quite a time ago, in winter 2000, four friends came together to do what they loved to: write songs, sing and play together, make music. Even at their first appearances- starting out in front of a few friends- it became clear that in spite of maybe not playing together very well yet the band pensive lane had a kind of magic touch on them. their simple, yet undeniably catchy melodies and the dreamy quality of their riffs made it possible for them to get growing recognition of their work all over austria in the first four years of their history. Even though pensive lane had to suffer from many changes of cast throughout the following years, they stayed confident in making their music and not following any trends, but remaining true to their principles of writing beautiful songs. As it turned out, this uncompromising attitude would lead them to their greatest success yet: uniqa-insurance chose "take", an early pensive lane-classic to become its signature song, featuring in a tv-commercial all over eastern europe plus italy, switzerland and parts of germany. the first spot went on air may 11th 2009 in poland, many other countries are soon to follow. Pensive Lane are very happy to have gotten this great opportunity to maybe, just maybe live their dream of a life filled with music, friendship and creativity, of being able to touch people the way the music they love touches them.
