About lord nord

About Lord Nord I make music since 1985. It all began with the guitar, but soon I noticed that this is not the right instrument for me. Fortunately, there was a keyboard boom in 1985 so these things were affordable. After I had bought one, I knew: this is what I was searching for! So now I found my instrument there was nothing left holding me back: I learned to play the keyboard. Due to I had a connection to a metal band I could gain my first band experiences. Unfortunately, we did not have so many gigs so after a few years it got boring to play only samples. So I left the band to get a brand new direction. Since I my MIDI keyboard had connections, too, I wanted to know what this was all about. So I started an intense study of the MIDI protocol and quickly it became clear that I could really do a lot with a MIDI sequencer. After gaining my first experiences with the Alesis MMT-8 sequencer, the Atari ST-1040 came next. I used the SL Creator by Emagic (later c-lab), since programs like Cubase were not released then. I intensively used the SL Creator for about seven years. Within this time I also had my first publications on TranceNation 3, HyperRave, Terrordrome 5-10 and more. Later, with my sound I created NORDCORE-SOUND which could be classed as hardcore. In parallel, I had a project called Neuwerk which supplied the Goa scene. Due to this project I got a few contacts for film dubbing, for example industrial movies of McLaren Mercedes (1997 – 1998). In 1996 I changed my sequencer – since then I use Logic. After 2004 I started out to be interested in German hip hop. Since this time German rap have become more and more popular (Firma, Sammy DeLuxe and more) and I have to admit. I liked this music! So it was clear that I wanted to produce rap music. When I took a certain time to get familiar with this genre, I met Simon Mc. We quickly realized that we were able to work together and so we founded BFConNaction in May 2005. In early 2006, things refined more and more when Jay-X joined us and quickly turned out as a rapper. Well, what should I say more? The thing got going and now I’m producing various great rappers from Hamburg Barmbek called Lord Nord Beatz. Let’s see what future will bring.
