Choking Cats are a 3-Piece band hailing from Brisbane, Australia. They formed in 2004, originally consisting of four members. After numerous line-up changes, Choking Cats now consist of Tom Kulich, Hamish Orr, and Liam Eaton. The reason Choking Cats have gained such acclaim is because of the fact that they play music with lyrical statements against injustice, poverty and many other issues that don't seem to be addressed in the pop music industry today. Choking Cats have played shows all around the Brisbane and Gold Coast area, and have played festivals, headline shows, and also won a Battle Of The Bands Competition in 2006. They have played shows with bands from all over Australia including, The Black Market, Doing It For The Money, Deputy Dipshit, Operator Please and many more.
