With over 250k digital downloads off of 2 mixtapes and 2 single releases, and features from a range of different artist, Midwest native Young X is preparing to show you why he is aiming to sketch his Name and hometown on the Hip Hop map. Born Xavier Jamayel Berry, and raised in the Quad Cities (Iowa/Illinois), Young X moved to Orlando, Fl where and formed MidSouth Muzik with producer A.Gee Thompson and fellow artist Devvon Terrell. In 2010 Young X signed a management deal with Ryan “The R” Matthews, and put out 2 mixtapes with MidSouth Muzik co-owner Devvon Terrell. The second of the two releases “Download or Die” was ranked “Top 8 Mixtapes of the Day” on www.datpiff.com, and helped the two gain notoriety. The MidSouth President is currently working on his debut EP/Mixtape “Fistful of Dollas”, while trying to land MidSouth Muzik a distribution/production deal. Between the rest of the team and himself, almost all of the music, from start to finish, is done in house. With an undeniable work ethic & knowledge, and only being in the music industry for a little over a year, Young X & MidSouth Muzik look to make their brand a familiar household name in the music community.
