About Wreckage 97
(1997-present) Wreckage 97 is a pop-punk/rock band from Karlshamn, Sweden. Robert Clausson and Jimmie Nilsson formed the band in 1997 as teenagers. Matz Fastrup joined the band as drummer in 1999. In the early years, the band had several second guitarists, but since 2000 they have played as a three-piece. In 2002, the band signed a deal with the record company Soundport and opened up for The Ark in their 2002 fall tour on two dates. However, the deal with Soundport eventually panned out and ever since, the band has released everything independently.
