About With Lights And Sirens
With Lights And Sirens was a post-hardcore band from Chicago, Illinois, United States. The name "With Lights And Sirens" may be very young but its origin was actually derived from many other names that just didn't quite clearly describe what the boys of the band are all about. Formerly known as Paranoid Tuesday, With Lights And Sirens are a new mix of fresh rhythm, beat, and ambience. Consisting of a four piece set, With Lights And Sirens struggled to get just the right line up for this project. With many members interchanging, the band evolved and blossomed from an immature seed to what is now a full grown sound. With Lights And Sirens began as a vision shared by lead guitarists/back up vocalist, Will and frontman/rhythm guitarist, Raleigh. Driven by talent and motivation, Raleigh and Will began their search meticulously for the right bassist and drummer to not only join them to play but to be a part of a breathtaking experience of a lifetime. After two bassists and countless drummers, the boys finally found what they were looking for. Jason, who joined the journey in August of 2005 and currently on bass is ridiculously rhythmical and skilled for the part. Along the same time, Will and Raleigh were also blessed with a bonus. The most recent addition to the band, Mike, a young innovative drummer who finally completed what seemed to be a never ending search in late autumn of 2005. With a fresh name and a new line up, the band only became tighter, more unique, powerful, and aspiring. The members of With Lights And Sirens has proven to be very ambitious, goal oriented and high-reaching. The band is now taking their vision to a whole new level in hopes of turning it into a dream come true. Although the original members had played a handful of shows before and recorded a previous EP, they now plan to take the experience, learn, and continue to grow actively in every essence. With main influences such as Thrice, Thursday, Fear Before The March Of Flames, Interpol, and At The Drive-In, it wouldn't be much of a surprise to hear about With Lights And Sirens breaking out of the ever so common "local band" cage and emerging to the widely known post-hardcore/progressive scene as one of Chicago's culminating original band. However, don't be fooled, though With Lights And Sirens is heavily influenced by several astounding and accomplished musicians, you won't find them emulating any of their idols. The boys of With Lights And Sirens are overflowing with incomparable talent and creativity. Keeping busy with a new EP on their hands and planning on touring the states in 2007, we can only imagine the great harvest that "With Lights And Sirens" will soon reap.
