About Wheelchair Discotheque

Wheelchair Discotheque is a project by Kaspars Groshevs and Martins Rokis based in Riga, Latvia. It came into being in the end of 2005, however Kaspars and Martins started collaboration some three years ago in radio show “Visions” on local independent radio station NABA (www.radionaba.lv). For many years they’ve been working on different projects on their own trying out different directions. But in 2005 both decided to exchange with some ideas and musical sketches that slowly evolved into several projects. For Wheelchair Discotheques first Ep Kaspars and Martins elaborated the most melodic and unconstrained tracks – the outcries of their inner wheelchair people unable to dance to all the robotic technocratic dance music. This debut EP consists of 5 love songs caused by unknown desires and dedicated to unknown objects across the whole universe...
