About Tuerka
Tuerka is a band created by a group of friends, whom wanted to create music that they would want to listen. It is now is integrated by Freddy Alvarez (Bass), Alejandro Montoya (Vocal and Guitar), and Omar Mena (Synthesizers and Keyboards). Tuerka is influenced of bands like The Strokes, Arctic Monkeys, Radiohead, Arcade Fire, We are Scientists, The Beatles, The Doors and also from Spanish rock bands like Niña, Jumbo, Zoe, Zurdok, The Volture just to mention some of them and get an idea of the combination that Tuerka develops as new music is created. Tuerka used as motivation the idea to create music which can be great on a cd or a live performance. After sharing Stage with Niña, Jumbo, Zesch Marquise at Warehouse Live Houston and Cafe Tacuba at Arena Theatre.
