About Tir nan Og
There are more than just one Band called Tir Nan Og. 1) A band associated with the legendary german label 'Kettenhund Records' of Andreas Lacher. Symphonic, keyboard-driven Black Metal with a very melancholic, dreamy atmosphere. Tir Nan Og released one demo "Sonnenschlafhymnen" in 1998 and then disappeared. 2) Tir Nan Og is a German folk band playing a mixture of traditional Irish folk songs and own productions. The band was founded in 2001 in Germany. Their music is a mixture of traditional folk elements combined with influences from rock, punk or modern speedfolk as it is known from bands like Dropkick Murphy's or Flogging Molly. They realease their first album "After Work" in 2010.
