About Timmy O' Tool
Timmy O' Tool (often abbreviated to TOT) is a band from Argentina that plays rapcore. Timmy O' Tool arises in 1996 in Buenos Aires with the idea to form a band that combined elements of diverse sorts like rap, funk, metal, rock and others. At first the band was called Kyrie Eleison, soon changed to Pink Funka finally to become Timmy O' Tool. In an interview given to the magazine Rolling Stone, Frog explains the origin of the name of the band: “Le pusimos Timmy O´Tool, por un capítulo de Los Simpson”. By the end of 1997 they recorded a demo that was dedicated to present/display in diverse scenes of Federal Capital, getting including a to touch in the event Buenos Aires No Duerme in 1998. That same year they participated in the tribute to Stereo Soda water, titleholder “Gracias totales”, with a version of the song “No existes”. In 1999, Paco enters the band as guitarist. In April of 2000 their first disc titled No soy yo was released on Dulce Limón Records. The most memorable songs of the disc was the cover of “Satisfacion” and the diffusion cut “Queriendo”. In October they were in the festival Rock al parque before 70 thousand people and were chosen. After this concert Paco left the band. After this important presentation, they were contacted by Mexican producers (managers of the La Castañeda and Maldita Vecindad) to arm a tour of 10 concerts in that country where they met with bands like the El Tri and Resorte. In the year 2002 TOT participated in the tribute to Red Hot Chili Peppers. Their second production [ablum artist=timmy o' tool]Confusion Rock was published andn distributed in 2003 in Argentina, Spain, Mexico, Chile, EE.UU and Japan. The reception for the album was excellent from media including: Rolling Stone, FM Rock and pop, Diario La Nación and Página 12, among others. In order to promote the disc two videos were sent that rotated by the main channels music, "Confusión Rock" and "Cuestionalo". In the tour of presentation of the disc in Argentina and other countries, Larva leaves the band. Timmy O' Tool decides not to incorporate a new singer but "Mono" becomes position of the voice, consequently the band is transformed into a trio. During the years 2004 and 2005 TOT was touching by the interior of Argentina and on two ocassions visited Chile with a good acceptance of the public. In the 2006 they participated in the tribute in Spanish to Rage Against The Machine in EE.UU. With this new formation and under the production of Matías Cugat, Timmy O' Tool sends their third disc in the 2007, called Sigo acá de pie. This new album shows a remarkable evolution in the sound of the band, giving more melody in the songs but without leaving behind what characterized them. The production counts on 16 songs between which we can name "Poder volar", "Eso no es lo que ves" and a cover in Spanish of “Zombie” by The Cranberries. Participating musicians in the album include: Marcelo Corvalán (Carajo), Flavio Cianciarulo (ex=Los Fabulosos Cadillacs) and Tavo (Resorte).
