About The Magic Squares
The Magic Squares were a short-lived American band, from a small town in the state of New Hampshire called "Etna". Interestingly, the town does not technically exist--you can drive through Hanover looking all you want. This odd fact lends this band, active from late 2002 only through the Summer of 2003, a somewhat legendary glow. They specialized in genteel psychedelic folk-rock, with some more experimental tracks (these were part of a musical protest project against the start of the Iraq war). The communally-minded band broke up when the house they were renting was sold and the members could no longer co-habitate.
