About The Chemist Vs. The Computer

Crown Point, Indiana. Progressive/Experimental/Post-Hardcore The Chemist VS. The Computer was conceived in 2006. After their debut EP "Loki" was released in 2007, two east coast tours and two midwest tours followed. In 2008 a run of demos were released to positive review and hinted towards another album release. Although, in the following months the band grew beyond the attachment of its member's; a new line-up was formed keeping only two of the previous musicians, vocalist Dan Easton and guitarist Chris Katsaros. With a fresh line-up set, the band began work on their second EP. A demo was released in 2009 updating fans on the progress made with the new musicians. Finally, a few shows and practices later, on October 10th of 2010 Chemist released their second work titled "Hydrosufoolooween". The album displayed experimental and progressive elements while still keeping true to certain aspects of their original sound. The Chemist VS. The Computer had become its own entity, driven strongly by the people who believed in it's purpose. When asked, everyone will have a different answer for what that purpose may be, but all share one common theme of inspiration; the love of music. In January of 2011 The Chemist VS The Computer decided that it was time to go their seperate ways and concentrate on their own projects. The band will update any fans still interested in these projects through the existing Chemist web pages via Facebook, Last.FM, Twitter, etc. Thank you all for letting us sleep on your floor, eat your food, and watch your movies. Along with trading dirty clothes for clean clothes and making us laugh/smile after a bad day.
