The Brown Hornet is a Funk/Rap/Jazz/Funk/Death/Ska/Funk/WeirdArse band formed in 1993 that gigged around the Melbourne and Australian music scene for years. The original lineup consisted of Asco Flash Gordon on Guitar, DiRK ViLE on Vocals (aka Dylan Lewis), Dr Ugg on Drums and Fergus Fingers on Bass. Over the years a number of band members / brass sections were involved including gFonk on Guitar, Dick Burns on Trumpet Miss Brown on Trombone, C-Barb on Tenor Sax. They released an EP, a live album, a couple of singles, and finally a collection of 'Lost Recordings' Evilutionof. Their offical website, thebrownhornet.com was last updated on May 18th 2004, and disappeared in December 2006 (according to the archive.org. Some of the members have been involved with Pataphysics (see http://www.myspace.com/brotherpataphysics), Megabias, Geronimo-Collective (see www.geronimo-collective.org), etc.
