About The Redding Shift

Formed in early 2008, Nashville rock trio The Redding Shift fuse polished elements of hard radio rock and the grit of punk with bluesy leads and lyrics that are smarter than the average bear. The three each hail from very different regions: Alabama, Western Massachusetts, and New York City – bringing with them eclectic styles and influences. They have been compared to everything from The Faces, The Killers, Foo Fighters and The Rolling Stones to 3 Doors Down and Franz Ferdinand. The gritty, rough-hewn lead vocals coupled with haunting and ethereal backing vocals and straight ahead pounding drums gel with the riff-laiden melodic guitar lines and give The Redding Shift a sound that cuts but is digestible by the mainstream.
