About The Mystery Tramps

"What do I know anyway? I'm just some dumb kid," sings Adam Amoroso in A World Like This. Mildly sarcastic? Indeed, but hardly self-descriptive of him, nor his mates Andrew Leader, Eric Grava, and Martin DiLiegro. The four teamed up to form The Mystery Tramps on Halloween night, 2004, in their hometown of Lynnfield, Massachusetts. That was not the beginning, but rather another page in what the boys profess to be the fateful series of events that brought them together. They chose the name because of its roots in the seminal stage of rock and roll history (the lyrics of Bob Dylan's Like a Rolling Stone), and because of its allusion to the enigmatic vagabond musician. And, despite their young ages, The Tramps have already done their share of traveling and performing, having not only played at key venues in Boston, but also at some of the trendiest clubs in New York City. At every show, The Mystery Tramps create a stir, delighting their loyal audience and adding more and more supporters, both young and old, to their ever-growing fan base. Among the believers was musician extraordinaire, Greg Hawkes, formerly the keyboard player for The Cars, who has recorded with a host of artists, ranging from Martin Mull to Sir Paul McCartney. In March of 2005, The Mystery Tramps entered Cybersound Studio in Boston to record their debut CD, with Mr. Hawkes pitching in as producer of the project. The result was the electrifying debut EP entitled "Nowhere's End." Some way, somehow, between classes and homework and the rigors of adolescence, The Mystery Tramps have found the time to develop their sound, write new material, entertain audiences with their exhilarating live performances, and record their very first full-length album with producer Stephen George (Chris Brown, Ric Ocasek, R. Kelly). The ten-song set was released on March 9, 2007. Performer magazine says, "The Mystery Tramps create not just quality music, but authentic and meaningful statements of youth."
